Made for beginners

Junior students & complete beginners — no experience needed. If you've never touched a circuit or written a line of code, this is exactly the workshop for you.

Skills

What you'll learn

How an Arduino board actually works — pins, power, and the code loop

Breadboards & wiring: LEDs, buttons, buzzers, and sensors

Reading and writing real Arduino (C++) code, not just copy-pasting

Debugging — what to check when a circuit or program doesn't work

Schedule

Two days, here's the plan

Day 1 · Saturday, 26 September

Meet Arduino

  • What Arduino is, and what it can actually do
  • Your first circuit: wiring & blinking an LED
  • Inputs & outputs — buttons, buzzers, sensors
  • Mini-game break with mini prizes
  • Start building the logic behind Simon Says

Day 2 · Sunday, 27 September

Build, Play & Show Off

  • Finish and polish your Simon Says game
  • Try a couple more mini Arduino games
  • Mini-game break with mini prizes
  • Capstone project — design your own mini game or gadget
  • Show & tell — everyone demos what they built

Everyone gets Day 2's finale to design & show off their own capstone.

Not All Work

Fun & mini prizes, built right in

Mini-games woven through both days

Mini prizes for the mini-game winners

A capstone project at the end of Day 2 that's entirely yours to design

Before You Come

What to bring

Just yourself — no experience required

Bring your own laptop if you have one

No laptop? No problem — it's held in the old computer lab, which already has computers set up

Arduino kits provided for the workshop

Curiosity, and patience for debugging

Seats are limited, on purpose

We keep RobotoShop small so every beginner gets real hands-on help. Free to join. Spots are capped to keep it hands-on — if more than 30 people sign up, a selection process will be run to fill the seats.
